Gillian Martin

Gillian has been a nonprofit bookkeeper since 2000, and has worked in nonprofit administration in a variety of organizations since 1989. Her background is in the arts (she has degrees in music and in theater) but she has also worked in battered women’s shelters and public radio. She has a Mini-MBA in Nonprofit Management from the Center for Nonprofit Management at the University of St. Thomas, and has taken several other financial classes there as well. She also took a 2-day course on 990 preparation from tax exempt law specialist Eve Borenstein.

Kate Martinson

Kate came to nonprofit bookkeeping in 2004 from a background in social service. She has a degree in human services from Metropolitan State University, and spent several years as a youth and family counselor for The Bridge for Runaway Youth. She also spent four years as a customer service associate for a large financial services firm. Kate has taken financial classes at the Center for Nonprofit Management at the University of St. Thomas, and also took Eve Borenstein’s two-day workshop on 990 preparation.
